A woman looking on and filming as an experimental plane landed at the Glenndale Airport in Kokomo, Indiana, was injured when the plane drifted and struck her golf cart.
On Sunday, pilot Raymond Hodgson was landing the plane as an unnamed woman waited on the ground, filming the aircraft from her perch in a golf cart parked near the runway.
As the plane landed, however, it drifted and struck the cart, according to the Howard County Sheriff’s Office.
The cart rolled over and the woman was knocked unconscious, law enforcement said. Mr. Hodgson himself was unharmed.
The sheriff’s office did not specify the type of plane involved or the nature of the woman’s injuries.
The woman was airlifted to a hospital via helicopter for medical treatment, with no further update from law enforcement regarding her health.
