The Trump Mobile website has removed language saying the planned T1 phone will be made in America.
It also doesn’t list a specific time the device will be available.
Earlier this month, the main page of the Trump Mobile website featured preordering for the T1 that said the phone would be “MADE IN THE USA” and would be available in September.
Now the main page doesn’t say where the phones will be produced or when they will go on sale.
Trump Organization spokesperson Chris Walker told USA Today that, despite the changes on the Trump Mobile website, the T1 is still being made in America and that “speculation to the contrary is simply inaccurate.”
On its preorder page, the T1 phone is described as being “proudly American.” The order page says that “it’s brought to life right here in the USA,” with “American hands behind every device.”
The page also says that the phone will be available “later this year.”
Other details have also been changed since the announcement of the T1 phone. The screen size has shrunk from 6.78 to 6.25 inches, and the phone’s random access memory specs are no longer listed, according to The Verge.
