All United Airlines flights to and from U.S. and Canadian airports were grounded briefly due to a tech issue early on Wednesday.

The ground stop was implemented just before 1 a.m. EDT, according to a Federal Aviation Administration air traffic control system advisory. It was lifted at 1:33 a.m. EDT.

A United Airlines spokesperson told Fox News that “United experienced a brief connectivity issue” that led to the flights being held.

As of Wednesday afternoon, 14 United Airlines flights in the U.S. were canceled and another 189 were delayed, according to FlightAware.

The brief ground stop comes just over a month after another technological problem grounded United flights at multiple U.S. airports, according to CBS News.

U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy said on X at the time that United told him it was an “internal tech outage.”
