Two people were declared dead at the scene and the other 20 victims were hospitalized in critical condition after the early morning explosion, Honolulu Emergency Medical Services told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. None of the victims has been identified.

Salt Lake-Aliamanu is near Daniel K. Inouye International Airport and the military’s Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, The Associated Press reported.
A Maui County resident early Wednesday posted a purported video of the blast on Instagram, showing fireworks going off including a large cluster at street level.
