President-elect Donald Trump will have at least 45 judicial vacancies to fill when he enters the White House on Inauguration Day.

Currently, Mr. Trump will be able to nominate four circuit court nominees to fill vacancies on the First, Sixth and Third U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals.

He will also have 41 federal district court vacancies to fill.

More judges could also announce their retirement plans.

During Mr. Trump’s first administration, he appointed three Supreme Court justices, 54 circuit court judges and 174 district court judges.

Last week, though, President Biden bested Mr. Trump’s numbers for lower-court appointments.

During Mr. Biden’s four years in office, he’s appointed one Supreme Court justice, 45 circuit court nominees and 187 district court judges.
