President Trump has a star-studded week coming up, with his first Cabinet meeting scheduled and two more world leaders stopping by the White House.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said during the press briefing Thursday that Mr. Trump will hold the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
French President Emmanuel Macron will visit the White House on Monday, followed by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer next Thursday.
Their visits come after Mr. Trump has already met with leaders from Israel, Japan, Jordan and India.
The two European leaders come to Washington on the heels of Mr. Trump’s recent comments criticizing Ukraine, saying President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has ripped off the American taxpayer and should have done more to end the war with Russia.
Mr. Macron met with world leaders in Paris this week to discuss Ukraine and European security. He also spoke with Mr. Trump ahead of the White House meeting.
