President Trump signed a slew of executive orders Monday night to reverse his predecessor’s actions in front of thousands of supporters at Capital One Arena in Washington.

Mr. Trump told the crowd, “You’re going to be happy tomorrow,” adding that he was “signing things you’re going to love.”

“You’re going to be happy reading the newspapers tomorrow,” he said.

Mr. Trump started with signing an executive order that rescinded 78 Biden-era executive actions, executive orders and presidential memoranda.

Other executive orders signed by Mr. Trump at the event include:

• An immediate freeze on issuing government regulations.

• An immediate freeze on new hiring by the federal government.

• Ordering federal workers to return to in-person full-time work, effective immediately.

• An order withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement.

• An order authorizing a letter to the United Nations explaining why the U.S. withdrew from the climate agreement.

• A directive restoring the freedom of speech and preventing government censorship.

• An order ending the weaponization of the government against political adversaries of the Biden administration.

At the end of the signing ceremony, Mr. Trump tossed pens into the crowd as enthusiastic chants of “USA, USA” broke out.

During the signing ceremony, Mr. Trump took another shot at his predecessor joking that the 82-year-old Mr. Biden wouldn’t have the energy to sign so many orders at once.

“Can you imagine Biden doing this? I don’t think so,” he said.
