Former President Donald Trump said in the presidential debate Tuesday night that he doesn’t support a national abortion ban.

“As far as the abortion ban — no I’m not in favor of abortion ban,” he said. “But it doesn’t matter, because this issue has now been taken over by the states.”

After Ms. Harris said he does support a national abortion ban, he shot back, saying it’s “an absolute lie.”

He also hit Ms. Harris on her idea of bringing back Roe v. Wade, saying she wouldn’t get enough votes in Congress for it to pass.

“She’s not going to get the vote. She can’t get the vote. She won’t even come close to it. So it’s just talk,” he said.
