President Trump announced Friday night that he plans to name himself chairman of the Kennedy Center Board and use the post to dictate programming at one of the nation’s premier cultural institutions.

“We will soon announce a new Board, with an amazing Chairman, DONALD J. TRUMP!” he posted on his social media site.

Trump also noted that the center had hosted past events featuring drag queens and wrote that those “WILL STOP.”

He said the center “must reflect the brightest STARS on its stage.”
