President Trump threatened a “Chipocalypse Now” in Chicago, led by the War Department, in a post with the likeness of the movie “Apocalypse Now.”

In a Truth Social post Saturday, he shared an AI-generated image of him dressed as Robert Duvall’s character in the movie, with a daunting Chicago skyline and helicopters above Lake Michigan.

“I love the smell of deportations in the morning,” the post says. “Chicago about to find out why it’s called the Department of WAR.”

The president has continuously threatened to send the National Guard to crime-ridden cities after touting the success of cleaning up Washington.

Immigration enforcement is supposed to ramp up in Chicago this weekend with as many as 300 federal agents launching from Naval Station Great Lakes, according to reports.

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker didn’t appreciate the president’s “Chipocalypse Now” post, saying his state “won’t be intimidated by a wannabe dictator.”

Mr. Pritzker posted on X, “The President of the United States is threatening to go to war with an American city. This is not a joke. This is not normal.”

The governor added, “Donald Trump isn’t a strongman, he’s a scared man.”

Mr. Pritzker told reporters Thursday, “I’ve talked a lot about — for the people who are going to protest, they’ve got to protest peacefully, not give them any reason to call in National Guard or military troops of other types.”

He said if the National Guard does land in Illinois, the state would “immediately go to court.”

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, responding to Mr. Trump’s post, said the president’s “threats are beneath the honor of our nation, but the reality is that he wants to occupy our city and break our Constitution.”

The mayor added on X, “We must defend our democracy from this authoritarianism by protecting each other and protecting Chicago from Donald Trump.”

On Friday, the president floated a new city on his radar to receive the federal troop treatment: Portland, Oregon.

He said he recently saw TV reports showing the “destruction of the city,” where fierce protests broke out against ICE agents.

He claimed the demonstrators are “paid terrorists [and] agitators.”

“They get paid money by radical left groups, not radical right groups, radical left groups, and they get paid a lot of money,” he said.

If the guardsmen wind up going to Portland, he said, they will “wipe them out.”
