President Trump on Wednesday congratulated Pam Bondi on her confirmation as U.S. attorney general and predicted she would be a history-making leader at the Department of Justice.

“I know Pam well, it was an honor to appoint her, and my prediction is that she will go down as one of the best and most consequential Attorney Generals in the history of our Country,” Mr. Trump posted on Truth Social.

The Senate voted 54-46 to confirm Pam Bondi on Tuesday. Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania was the only Democrat who voted to confirm Ms. Bondi.

Ms. Bondi served as attorney general of Florida, where Mr. Trump resides, from 2011 to 2019.

Mr. Trump’s nominees are on a winning streak despite early concerns that some picks wouldn’t make it through the Senate.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has been on the job for more than a week after Vice President J.D. Vance provided the tie-breaking vote to confirm him. On Tuesday, Senate committees advanced Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as health secretary and Tulsi Gabbard as director of national intelligence.
