President-elect Donald Trump vowed to repeal dozens of President Biden’s executive actions “within hours” on Monday, highlighting the Democrat’s orders on diversity, equity and inclusion.
“Every radical and foolish executive order of the Biden administration will be repealed within hours of when I take the oath of office,” Mr. Trump said during his Victory Rally on Sunday at the Capital One Arena in Washington.
He said he wanted to sign all of his executive orders “in the beginning” instead of over a period of weeks.
“No, we’re doing them tomorrow,” he said. “We’ll have plenty to sign in the future, don’t worry about it, it’s not going to stop.”
He mentioned reversing DEI mandates, saying the country will instead operate on “the merit system.”
He said “to restore transparency and accountability to government” he will be reversing the “overclassification of government documents.”
In that vein, Mr. Trump also mentioned that records involving the assassinations of former President John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert Kennedy and civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr., will be made public.
“It’s all going to be released, Uncle Sam,” he said.
Mr. Trump said he will “direct” the military to begin constructing an iron dome defense system similar to the one Israel has and added that “wokeness” will be taken out of the military.
