NextImg:Threads unveils new features to help creators manage their timelines

Meta’s “Twitter killer” Threads launched new features this week, aimed at improving users’ ability to manage their timelines and increase their audiences.

On Thursday, Threads announced an “insights” feature, which gives users access to their posts’ analytics. According to screenshots posted by Meta, the new feature shows users the age, location and sex of the accounts that engaged with certain posts.

Additionally, Threads greatly expanded the platform’s drafts feature, allowing users to save up to 100 post drafts. Threads also announced an upcoming scheduling feature, which will allow users to schedule posts in bulk.

The new features announced Thursday, coupled with Threads’ multi-feed desktop view, indicate that Meta is interested in attracting professionals and suggest that creators may soon be able to monetize their posts on the site.

Just over a year after the platform launched, Threads passed 200 million daily active users. While the site still pales compared to its main rival, Elon Musk’s X has around 600 million daily active users, the platform’s steady growth and future monetization policies could bring even more users to Threads.

X currently has analytics and monetization features but they’re locked behind X Premium, the site’s subscription service.
