A producer for the popular “Sports Junkies” radio show in the D.C. area remains in jail Tuesday after he was arrested on domestic violence charges over the weekend, according to authorities and court documents.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Matt Cahill was taken into custody Sunday on charges of assault and battery of a family member, a misdemeanor.

Court records showed that his hearing was scheduled for Tuesday. Virginia’s judicial database said he’s in Leesburg’s county jail.

“As this is a domestic matter, the court hearing will be closed and our office will not comment further at this time,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement to The Washington Times.

The Times contacted local radio station WJFK and Audacy, the station’s corporate owner, for comment.

Cahill, otherwise known as “Drab T-shirt,” has been working with WJFK’s morning drive program “The Sports Junkies” since 2012. The show has been on the air since 1996.

While he’s not one of the four main on-air personalities that include John Auville, Eric Bickel, Jason Bishop and John-Paul Flaim, the hosts regularly call on producers to offer commentary and join in on gags throughout the show.

In January, Audacy promoted Cahill to be brand manager of sister station WTEM. He has served as WJFK’s assistant brand manager since 2019.
