Celebrities at the Oscars will again walk the traditional red carpet when they arrive at the show on Sunday.

The carpet was rolled out Wednesday ahead of the movie awards show.

The show used a champagne-colored carpet in 2023 because a sienna-tinted tent protected showgoers from rain and that would have clashed with the red normally used for the Oscars.

“The sienna-color tent and champagne-colored carpet was inspired by watching the sunset on a white-sand beach at the golden hour with a glass of champagne in hand, evoking calm and peacefulness,” creative consultant Lisa Love explained to The New York Times ahead of the 2023 Oscars.

For 2024, the show is returning to its  Academy red, used from 1961 to 2022.

“More traditional this year, I would say for sure. If you look around now you can see the differences from last year, and I think every day you’ll see it getting a little closer to what everyone considers to be the big Oscars red carpet,” Joe Lewis, the producer for the carpet proceedings, told KABC-TV.
