The man arrested Sunday in the second assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump was identified Sunday by authorities.

Fox News Channel reported, based on “two law enforcement sources,” that Ryan Wesley Routh was arrested by Martin County officials after fleeing the scene.

The would-be assassin did not get off a shot against Mr. Trump.

Instead, a Secret Service agent saw a muzzle extending from the shrubbery at Mr. Trump’s golf course in Palm Beach, Florida, a couple of holes ahead of where Mr. Trump was playing.
