A 76-year-old Blacksburg, South Carolina, man died after being caught between his tractor and an attachment.
Gary Moss had gone out to mow his property Monday and had not come back in when his wife went out to look for him.
She found that Moss had become entangled between his tractor and an attachment, according to a release from the Cherokee County Coroner’s Office cited by The State newspaper.
“Moss was mowing grass on his property with his tractor … when he drove down an embankment and was ejected. The tractor continued toward Moss, trapping him between it and the Bush Hog attachment,” the coroner, Dennis Fowler, wrote, referring to a landscaping accessory used to cut dense growth.
Moss was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine his exact cause of death.
