National security technology firm Peraton has been awarded a $12 billion support contract to help streamline the Defense Logistics Agency’s operations.

“We are committed to delivering high-quality, innovative technology solutions that support the DLA’s logistical operations and ensure our nation’s defense infrastructure remains resilient, secure, and efficient,” said Tarik Reyes, president of Peraton’s Defense Mission & Health Solutions.

Peraton’s contract for modernizing the DLA’s critical infrastructure will help enable the agency to provide uninterrupted support to the Department of Defense and other federal agencies.

The DLA provides logistical support to federal agencies and oversees the provision of supplies, services and materials to the proper departments.

Under the contract, Peraton will support several initiatives, including the Global Exchange Services and Defense Agencies Initiative, that aim to simplify the DLA’s operations. The company will also provide comprehensive IT services, data analysis, cybersecurity and software development.

The contract is part of the J6 Enterprise Technology Services 2.0 program, which connects the DLA with IT service providers. Other companies involved with the DLA through the JETS program include Booz Allen Hamilton, CACI International and General Dynamics.
