Police in San Antonio said Thursday the husband and wife who were kidnapped from their home are safe.

Law enforcement sources told local NBC affiliate WOAI-TV that the couple were found Thursday morning in the city’s West Side neighborhood.

Authorities said the two were taken from their home at about 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Inside the house, responding officers found five unharmed kids who police believed to be the victims’ children.

The children told police that unknown suspects kicked down the door to the home and “forcefully” took the victims. The suspects drove off in a white SUV.

The couple are believed to be in their late 30s.
