Social media site Reddit experienced a major outage Thursday morning, one day after a similar outage left thousands of users without access.
Thousands of users couldn’t access Reddit Thursday between 7 and 11 a.m. Over 50,000 users reported problems to Downdetector, which tracks connection issues on websites.
While Reddit didn’t disclose the reason for the latest outage, the company did confirm that the connection problems were likely caused by an update launched this week.
The company said it rolled back the update and that connection issues were starting to dissipate.
According to Reddit’s status page, the site is back up and running, with the company recording all issues resolved by 8 a.m. Pacific time.
