The Los Angeles Rams’ Monday playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings could be moved due to L.A.’s wildfires.

“The NFL’s priority is the safety of the Los Angeles community. … We continue to prepare to play the Vikings-Rams game as scheduled Monday night at SoFi Stadium. As with all games, there are contingency plans in the event a change in location is needed. In this instance, the game would be played on Monday night at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ, if necessary,” the league said in a statement Wednesday.

SoFi Stadium is in Inglewood, California, 20 miles from the Los Angeles neighborhood of Pacific Palisades, where the first and largest of the fires began.

“Our hearts are with those affected by the Palisades wildfires and the first responders protecting our community. Be safe,” the Rams wrote on social media Tuesday.

Amid the multiple fires in Los Angeles, 42 square miles have been scorched and over 2,000 structures destroyed, according to The Associated Press.

Some 130,000 people have been evacuated and five people died, reported AP.

Multiple other civilians and firefighters were injured by the Palisades fire, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fires were fed by strong winds Tuesday and Wednesday. Gusts at the Mount Lukens and Magic Mountain trails were as strong as 100 mph, according to the National Weather Service, while winds at Hollywood Burbank Airport reached 84 mph.

As of Thursday morning, the winds began to slow down, with the strongest gust in the area at 65 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
