A raid on a Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, residence intended to find drugs also turned up two wildcats, each appearing to hail from a different African species.

The Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General said Monday that a June 5 raid on a Lawrence Township, Pennsylvania, residence uncovered the wildcats, which appeared to be held without a license, as well as around $7,390, narcotics packaging and drugs.

The Lawrence Township residence was raided over a search warrant against Jennifer Dixon, 27, and Nicholas Rumsey, 33.

The two are accused of and charged with possession of narcotics with the intent to distribute, other related drug charges and child endangerment, the state attorney general’s office said.

In terms of drugs, law enforcement found around three pounds of methamphetamine worth $19,200, around 159 grams of fentanyl worth $63,000 and about nine grams of heroin worth $3,600, the attorney general’s office said.

The fentanyl seized is equivalent to around 7,950 doses, said Clearfield County District Attorney Ryan Sayers, whose office is prosecuting the case against Ms. Dixon and Mr. Rumsey.

The prosecutors did not specify the species of the two wildcats found, but did post photos online and said the cats were native to Africa.

One cat, with floppy ears and no spots, appears to be a caracal, while the other, which has spots but is smaller than a cheetah or leopard, appears to be a serval cat. The Pennsylvania State Game Commission seized both cats.
