Philadelphia police said seven people were wounded and a teenage girl is fighting for her life after a shooting early Saturday in the northern part of the city.
Authorities said shots rang out just before 3:30 a.m. after an argument between two male attendees at a party near Fotterall Square that was organized over social media.
One suspect left the party and returned a short time later to unload over 50 rounds into the crowd, police said.
Police said a 16-year-old girl was shot in the chest and taken to a hospital in critical condition.
The six other victims, who were all in their 20s and 30s, suffered nonfatal injuries and are in stable condition at a nearby hospital.
Authorities believe the suspect is a juvenile who was wearing all-black clothing at the time.
