Nestle is recalling its popular Starbucks holiday mugs after customers reported cuts and burns while using the cups.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission posted a recall notice Thursday, saying customers who bought the ceramic Starbucks mugs should stop using them and contact Nestle for a refund.

According to the filing, around 440,500 units in circulation were sold from November to January online and at Target, Walmart and the Navy Exchange retail outlet.

Nestle issued the recall after customers contacted the company reporting problems with the mugs. According to the Swiss-based company, if the mugs are filled with hot liquid or microwaved, they can overheat and break, leading to burns and cuts. The firm heard 12 reports of the cups breaking and 10 injuries.

After the recall notice, Nestle apologized to customers who may have been hurt by the mugs.

“The quality, safety and integrity of Nestle USA products remain our number one priority. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this action represents to both our consumers and retail customers,” Nestle said in a statement.
