NASA’s mission updates, rocket launches, spacewalks, documentaries and other NASA+ live and recorded video content will be available on Netflix starting this summer.

No specific date was mentioned in a release by the space administration.

On Netflix, NASA’s live feeds will be displayed alongside the platform’s series and movies, Netflix said in a release of its own, and NASA content will stream in high definition.

NASA+ content is also available for free on the NASA app and the NASA website, the agency said. 

NASA hopes to use Netflix to ensure that as many people as possible can access the agency’s work via its content.

“Together, we’re committed to a Golden Age of Innovation and Exploration — inspiring new generations — right from the comfort of their couch or in the palm of their hand from their phone,” NASA+ General Manager Rebecca Sirmons said.
