Apparently, MSNBC is too MAGA for Nancy Pelosi.

The former House speaker made that claim Monday, accusing one of the left-leaning network’s hosts of being “an apologist for Donald Trump.”

Mrs. Pelosi, now a rank-and-file member, was boosting President Biden’s economic record by saying former President Donald Trump oversaw the greatest job loss of any president in history, causing host Katy Tur to do a real-time fact check.

“Donald Trump has the worst record of job loss of any president. So we just have to make sure people know,” Mrs. Pelosi said, leading Ms. Tur to note “that was a global pandemic.”

The former speaker immediately doubled down on her claim and then added that noting that context constituted Trumpism.

“He had the worst record of any president,” she said as she began jabbing her hand toward Ms. Tur’s direction.

“We’ve had other concerns in our country. If you want to be an apologist for Donald Trump, that may be your role, but it ain’t mine,” Mrs. Pelosi said.

A bemused Ms. Tur said, “I don’t think that anybody can accuse me of that.”
