There was no grand prize winner for the Mega Millions’ latest drawing, raising the jackpot to $541 million.
A lucky winner might pop up during the next drawing Tuesday.
The winning numbers Friday were three, 29, 34, 27, 38 and a golden ball 17.
A jackpot was last won on a ticket bought in Texas and drawn on Sept. 10, with the lucky player collecting $810 million, the seventh-largest jackpot won in Mega Millions history.
If a player gets all the right numbers in Tuesday’s drawing, his or her $541 million prize would be the 12th-largest jackpot, the lottery said in a release Saturday.
A winner would then get a choice between an immediate lump sum payment of $257.6 million or an annuity option paying out the full prize, starting with a smaller payment followed by 29 annual payments, each of them 5% larger than the previous payment.
Mega Millions is offered in 45 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The $2 lottery tickets aren’t available in Alaska, Alabama, Hawaii, Nevada or Utah.
