McDonald’s announced this week it will eliminate its self-serve soda machines by 2032 in U.S. locations.

According to the eatery, the decision was made to make the customer experience more consistent and to reflect consumer patterns after the COVID-19 pandemic. The company said that, after the pandemic, patrons are using the dining room less and the drive-in more.

Hence, McDonald’s plans&nbsp;to revamp its locations with little, or no, dining space and with high-tech drive-throughs.

The smaller locations will be called CosMc’s.
