A man died this week after falling through a skylight while clearing the snow off a business along Tennessee State Route 100.
The unnamed 66-year-old man’s accident came Monday at a Hickman County business, Lt. Michael Dodoo of the sheriff’s office told Nashville CBS affiliate WTVF.
The 20-foot fall was broken by a concrete floor inside the business.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, the Hickman County Emergency Management Agency told ABC’s WKRN-TV, also of Nashville.
The death toll related to winter weather in the state rose to 17 Friday, according to The Tennessean. Four of the deaths were related to car crashes.
Another victim, Aaron Hoover, was found outside his Paris, Tennessee, home dead of exposure Wednesday. He slipped, fell into snow and was unable to get back up, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
