A man injured himself jumping from a second-floor balcony inside Trump Tower to the lobby below Thursday.
The man, purportedly homeless, was causing a disturbance inside the Manhattan building when he was approached by New York Police Department officers at 4:20 p.m., an unnamed Trump Tower employee told New York’s Daily News.
While being escorted from the premises, the man suddenly mounted a railing and jumped off the balcony, a 30-foot drop.
“He just suddenly jumped from the balcony. He didn’t say anything. He was just crazy,” a law enforcement source told the Daily News.
The man was conscious when medical help arrived, and he was taken to a hospital, a law enforcement source told the New York Post.
Former President Donald Trump, who developed the tower, wasn’t there at the time of the incident. His motorcade arrived an hour later, reported the Daily News.
