A man was rescued in Fall River, Massachusetts, after getting stuck in the chimney while attempting to flee police officers executing a search warrant for drug offenses.

On Tuesday, the Fall River Police Department executed the warrant, prompting two men to flee onto a roof. While one unnamed suspect was able to get away by jumping onto a parked car, as seen in body camera footage, the other suspect, Robert Langlais, 33, took a different route, police said in a post on Facebook.

Police were not initially able to find him but were tipped off by a passerby that someone was stuck in the chimney, as seen on body camera footage FRPD posted to Facebook Wednesday. Officers went up to the chimney, with one immediately exclaiming upon seeing Mr. Langlais that he was “an idiot.”

FRPD and Fall River Emergency Services were able to get Mr. Langlais out of the chimney. He was taken to a hospital for precautionary reasons and was medically cleared.

He is charged with possession of class A drugs, class B drugs and various unspecified charges from other warrants, police said. Another person, Tanisha Ibay, 32, was also arrested at the scene and charged with possession of class A and class B drugs.

In Massachusetts, class A includes a variety of opiates, including heroin and fentanyl.

Class B drugs include opium, various forms of cocaine and drugs such as ecstasy, methamphetamine and barbiturates.
