Jim Justice won a U.S. Senate race from West Virginia on Tuesday, flipping a seat to the Republican Party after Joe Manchin decided not to seek reelection.



Justice, who boldly predicted victory long before the election, defeated Democrat Glenn Elliott, a lawyer and former mayor of the city of Wheeling who was endorsed by Manchin.

Republican Rep. Jim Banks wins Indiana’s open U.S. Senate seat, defeating Democrat Valerie McCray

Republican Jim Banks, an outspoken supporter of former President Donald Trump, won Indiana’s open U.S. Senate seat on Tuesday, defeating political newcomer and Democrat Valerie McCray.

Banks, 45, was strongly favored to win the Senate race in the Hoosier state, which Trump won by large margins in 2016 and 2020.

Senate control, with potential GOP majority, likely to emerge sooner than House election results
