A new piece of merchandise branded around President-elect Donald Trump is on sale: a series of guitars, some of which are signed by Mr. Trump.
Mr. Trump posted a picture on his Truth Social platform holding an electric guitar featuring the American flag, a bald eagle, “Make America Great Again” inlaid below the strings and Mr. Trump’s signature written in gold.
“Coming Soon! The Limited Edition ‘45’ Guitar. Only 1,300 of each Acoustic and Electric Guitars MADE — Some personally signed!,” Mr. Trump wrote.
The Trump Guitars website FAQ page explains that, of the 2,600 “American Eagle” guitars, Mr. Trump signed 275 acoustic and 275 electric models. The guitars were made, the page said, by an unspecified company owned by a U.S. veteran.
The unsigned “American Eagle” electric guitar is being sold for $1,500 and the acoustic model is selling for $1,250. The signed versions cost $11,250 and $10,250 respectively.
The website also offers electric guitars with Mr. Trump’s name inlaid beneath the strings in red, black and gold for $1,500 and a pair of acoustic guitars with “God Bless The USA” inlaid, one with a flag design and the other with no design, each for $1,000.
