OPINION:

As the presidential election nears, the Democrats are increasingly relying on an election strategy of make believe. With the national debt at $35 trillion and constantly increasing, they are attempting to buy votes with promises of massive giveaways that have little chance of funding.

At the same time, they’re pretending that an immigration bill that would have allowed between 5,000 and 8,500 illegal aliens into the country every day would not encourage illegal immigration.

Irresponsibly, the Democrats propose to combat high grocery prices by banning price gouging, which does not exist. Their promises to lower consumer costs can only be accomplished by reducing energy costs, which in turn can only be accomplished by adopting former President Donald Trump’s energy policy.

The Biden-Harris administration’s draining of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to half capacity in order to temporarily and artificially lower energy prices is not a sustainable strategy. In fact, it is irresponsible considering the prospect of increasing world conflict.
