Pop singer and actress Lady Gaga is set to perform a duet with fellow singer Celine Dion at Friday’s opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
The pair will sing a cover of French legend Edith Piaf’s “La Vie en Rose,” according to the journalist Thierry Moreau.
Lady Gaga, who was born Stefani Germanotta, previously covered the song in 2018’s Oscar-nominated movie “A Star Is Born.”
Ms. Dion is a Canadian Francophone, while Lady Gaga has some grasp of French as well, according to the Guardian.
Speculation about the pair performing swirled earlier in the week, as social media claimed to see Lady Gaga on a floating island in Paris’ Seine River with a white piano while Ms. Dion posted pictures of herself visiting the Louvre. The opening ceremony is slated to take place at the river.
