Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche is meeting for a second time Friday with Ghislaine Maxwell to question the imprisoned former associate of Jeffrey Epstein about his alleged client list.

Maxwell’s lawyer said she answered all of Mr. Blanche’s questions when the two met on Thursday at the minimum security prison in Tallahassee, Florida, where Maxwell is serving a 20-year sentence. She was convicted in 2021 of helping Epstein carry out a decade-long sex trafficking ring involving girls as young as 14.

Mr. Blanche’s mission is to determine whether Maxwell knows the names of the wealthy and influential men who may have further victimized the women trafficked by Epstein.

“The Department of Justice will share additional information about what we learned at the appropriate time,” Mr. Blanche said.

The interview follows demands from President Trump’s base to make public an alleged client list kept by Epstein and to release all of the material kept by the government following the criminal probe of the disgraced financier.

Epstein committed suicide in his New York City jail cell in 2019. Attorney General Pam Bondi reviewed the Justice Department’s files on Epstein and said she found no client list and would not be releasing more material in order to protect the victims and witnesses in the case.

Democrats are accusing Mr. Trump of hiding the material to protect damaging information about himself that may be in the files, which he denies.

Mr. Trump associated with Epstein for about 15 years and took trips on Epstein’s private jet in the 1990s. The twos ended their friendship following a contentious Palm Beach real estate deal in 2004.

Ms. Bondi told Mr. Trump in May that his name appeared in the government’s files on the case, along with hundreds of other names.

House committees this month voted to subpoena Maxwell and the Justice Department’s file on Epstein

Democrats said Mr. Blanche’s interview of Maxwell is another attempt at a cover-up by Mr. Trump.

Mr. Blanche formerly served as one of Mr. Trump’s defense attorneys in the 2024 New York City criminal trial that found him guilty of concealing payments to adult actress Stormy Daniels.

“Trump sending his personal lawyer, Todd Blanche, to meet with Ghislaine Maxwell stinks of high corruption and conflict of interest,” said Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer, New York Democrat.
