Supreme Court Justice Samual A. Alito Jr.’s financial disclosure was released Tuesday, roughly three months after his colleagues did — and it revealed lackluster findings.
Justice Alito, a Bush appointee to the high court, was provided a paid trip to Ohio, where he delivered a commencement speech at the Franciscan University of Steubenville.
He was provided food and lodging from May 10-11, 2024, his disclosure noted.
The 2024 disclosure comes three months after his colleagues’ forms were filed because the justices can request a 90-day extension.
Justice Alito came under scrutiny in 2023 when the Wall Street Journal accused him of ethical misconduct by accepting a paid fishing trip to Alaska with billionaire Paul Singer and not disclosing it in a 2008 financial report.
At the time, hospitality was not required to be noted and disclosed by the justices, and he denied any wrongdoing.
