WILMINGTON, Delaware — A jury of 12 people and four alternates was seated Monday on the first day of Hunter Biden’s federal gun trial, a high-stakes prosecution in the midst of his father President Biden’s campaign for reelection.
The jury is composed of three White women, three Black women, four Black men and two White men. Alternate jurors are two Black women and two White women.
Judge MaryEllen Norieka said both sides could begin opening arguments in the case Tuesday morning. Hunter Biden is accused of lying on a federal gun form about his drug use to purchase a revolver.
He’s charged with two counts related to false statements in purchasing a firearm and a third count of illegally obtaining a firearm while addicted to drugs.
