Ignorant voters fueled Trump’s win, Alec Baldwin says: ‘Americans are very uninformed about reality’

Americans were too dumb to pick Kamala Harris.
That was the explanation Alec Baldwin had for the election result earlier this month.
At a press conference Tuesday in Italy, Mr. Baldwin chalked up President-elect Donald Trump’s victory to “uninformed” voters.
”In my country, without going into significant detail, half the people in the country are very unhappy. It’s a very difficult time in the United States,” he said.
“Americans are very uninformed about reality, what’s really going on — with climate change, Ukraine, Israel, you name it. All of the biggest topics in the world, Americans have an appetite for a little bit of information,” he told reporters at the Turin Film Festival, where he was receiving a lifetime achievement award.
According to the Washington Examiner, Mr. Baldwin gave the press conference on condition that the 2021 shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his movie “Rust” not be mentioned.
Conservatives criticizing Mr. Baldwin’s “uninformed” remarks were under no such constraint.
”Keep calling us stupid, hair trigger, that worked out great for the Democrats this year,” conservative influencer Doug Powers wrote on X.
