NextImg:Harris to air closing argument commercial focusing on unity

Vice President Kamala Harris will release the final ad of her presidential campaign on Sunday, underscoring unity and her pledge to “build a brighter future.”

The two-minute ad will launch during nationally televised NFL games on CBS and Fox. It’s the final piece of the campaign’s record $370 million advertising blitz running through Election Day.

Campaign officials describe the ad as “optimistic and patriotic” and will highlight Ms. Harris’ vow to be “a president for all Americans.” They say it stands “in stark contrast” from the message of former President Donald Trump, the GOP nominee.

In the ad, Ms. Harris says inflation, abortion restrictions and “politics that have driven fear and division” are holding Americans back.

“You deserve better. As president, I will bring a new generation of leadership,” she says.

“The vast majority of people in our country have so much more in common than what separates them. Good people, hard-working people,” Ms. Harris says. “We see in our fellow Americans neighbors, not enemies. … Together, we will build a brighter future for our nation, where we stand for freedom, we stand for justice, we stand for the dignity of work.”
