Former President Bill Clinton hit the campaign trail for Vice President Kamala Harris, but one worker at a McDonald’s in Georgia wasn’t even sure who he was.

Mr. Clinton, donning a baseball jacket that said “USA” on the back, greeted workers at a McDonald’s in rural part of the swing state Sunday.

“The boss was stumping for @KamalaHarris in Georgia and had to stop by the old stomping grounds, @McDonalds,” Angel Ureña, deputy chief of staff for Mr. Clinton, posted on X with a video of the interaction.

One worker looked confused staring at Mr. Clinton and asked if he was President Biden.

“You Joe? Mr. Joe?” the employee asked while shaking his hand.

After he introduced himself, the employee ran around the counter and gave the 42nd president a hug while other employees took pictures of the encounter.

Mr. Clinton is making campaign stops in Georgia and North Carolina to appeal to rural, swing-state voters just weeks away from the Nov. 5 election.
