Disgraced former Rep. George Santos’ new campaign committee has raised a whopping zero dollars in March after announcing he’s once again running for a House seat.

A Monday filing with the Federal Election Commission showed that the Republican-turned-independent from New has not spent or raised any money.

Mr. Santos, who was expelled from a House seat representing New York’s 3rd Congressional District, announced last month during President Biden’s State of the Union that he would be running to return to Congress.

He was elected in 2022 for the seat that represented parts of Long Island and Queens, before being expelled in December. His expulsion came after revelations that he had lied about most of his resume and biography, including where he went to university, where he worked, and even being Jewish.

He faces 23 federal fraud and wire charges after the House Ethics Committee determined there was “overwhelming evidence” he broke the law multiple times and exploited his office for profit. The report alleged that he spent campaign funds on personal items such as Botox, and an OnlyFans account.

He will be taking on Rep. Nick LaLota, the Republican who currently holds the seat, for New York’s 1st Congressional District.

Mr. Santos announced a switch to independent last month.
