Four inmates were rushed to the hospital Saturday after a brawl between rival gangs broke out inside Miami’s federal prison, according to a report.
Prisoners stabbed and stomped on each other during the melee at the Miami Federal Correctional Institution, according to a law enforcement source who spoke with the Miami Herald.
Emergency crews took two inmates to the hospital after they were bleeding from their ears, the source said, while two others who were stabbed were returned to the prison after their treatment.
The source told the Herald the fight was a bloodbath.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue confirmed an “altercation” erupted at the low-security prison, but FCI Miami didn’t respond to requests for comment, according to the newspaper.
