A Florida woman is facing charges of criminal mischief and other crimes after she purportedly vandalized a person’s car mistakenly thinking it belonged to a former romantic partner.

The Volusia Sheriff’s Office responded to the vandalism report in Deltona, a town in eastern Florida, Tuesday and reported finding an 18-year-old woman, a 16-year-old girl, whiskey and a car covered in graffiti and splattered with eggs.

The 18-year-old told deputies that she and her younger friend were targeting her ex-boyfriend, but the car turned out to belong to his neighbor. The graffiti included the word “devil” and several smiley faces.

Neither suspect was named by VSO on social media, though Volusia County Jail records identify the 18-year-old as Evelina Fabianski.

Ms. Fabianski is charged with criminal mischief, possession of alcohol under age 21, driving under the influence and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The 16-year-old girl is charged with possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana.

Jonathon Edwards, the owner of the vandalized black Infiniti, managed to scrape off enough paint to see through his windows, but is waiting until his day in court to fix the rest of the damage.
