A Texas man was arrested and charged with making threats against ICE agents after making social media posts in which he told followers to “shoot them and kill them” and vowed “no mercy for the Gestapo.”
Robert Wilson King also called Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem “Nazi scum,” called for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene to be “shot by a firing squad” and said he wished Texas Gov. Greg Abbott “literally burns alive.”
According to an FBI agent presenting social media posts to the court, Mr. King made these posts via social media accounts under the name “Die Trump.”
Many of the posts echoed talking points from left-wing activists about deportations and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Homeland Security agency responsible for immigration arrests inside the U.S.
Mr. King seemed to acknowledge and even embrace the fact that he was crossing lines, authorities said.
“Some of my friends have noted that my rhetoric is growing increasingly more violent. Yes,” he posted in a Facebook account under the name “Rob Gutierrez.”
