Donald Trump Jr. offered a solution Sunday for those looking for a way to honor the slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
“His legacy must be that when they took his life, a million more Charlies stepped up to fill the void,” he said. “We are all Charlie!”
Mr. Trump, the eldest son of President Trump, used his speaking slot at Mr. Kirk’s memorial service in Glendale, Arizona, to reach out to Americans of all political stripes, rolling out the welcome mat for Americans who share Mr. Kirk’s belief in faith, family, and freedom.
“Charlie’s message, like Christ’s, was an invitation,” he said. “If you are not already seated at this table, we have a seat prepared for you.”
“If you believe our government should put the interests of our citizens first, welcome,” he said. “If you believe American workers deserve dignity and American families should be able to afford a good life on one salary, welcome.”
“If you reject the propaganda of the fake news media, welcome,” Mr. Trump said. “If you want to eradicate the criminal cartels and get drugs out of our communities, welcome.”
