Rep. Jasmine Crockett bashed some of her Republican colleagues, calling them names and saying it’s “insulting” that they’re in Congress.
On Charlamagne tha God’s radio show, “The Breakfast Club,” Monday, the Texas Democrat explained why she called Republican lawmakers “a—holes” in a September interview.
“’Cause they are,” she said with a laugh. “What do you mean?”
She said the House Oversight Committee is “where all the drama is.”
“This is where the impeachment inquiry is,” she said. “And, you know, it’s insulting that we have idiots like Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Paul Gosar, Jim Jordan. I mean, you just name all of the nonsense Republicans.”
“And they sit on this committee, and they sit there so high and mighty,” she said of Republicans. “And they talk noise constantly and they’re like, ‘Oh, the Biden crime family.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m sorry. Have you met the Trumps?’ ”
She added that House Republicans are “trying to make something out of nothing” with the allegations against President Biden that he was involved in his son Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings. She also pointed out how often former President Donald Trump is “in court like every day or every other day.”
The Oversight Committee says it’s preparing evidence of Mr. Biden’s wrongdoing.
Mr. Trump is facing multiple criminal cases and one civil case.
Ms. Crockett has commented on the legitimacy of the allegations against Mr. Biden before.
“I can’t seem to find the crime, and no one has testified what crime they believe the president of the United States has committed,” she said in September.
The House will vote on whether to advance its impeachment probe into Mr. Biden as early as Wednesday.
