Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida attracted some major star power to Washington for his state dinner at the White House on Wednesday night.

Among the notable names that jump off the list are former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, actor Robert De Niro, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Amazon boss Jeff Bezos and his finance, Lauren Sanchez and Olympic figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi.

Other notables include United Auto Workers union leader Shawn Fain, his wife Stella, and Democratic governors Roy Cooper of North Carolina and Tony Evers of Wisconsin.

The names were among the most prominent on the 200-person guest list issued just before the state dinner.

Guests will be treated to a performance by Paul Simon and dine on dry-aged rib-eye steak, house-cured salmon, blistered shishito, fricassee of fava beans and sesame oil sabayon.

Dessert will include salted caramel pistachio cake with matcha ganache and cherry ice cream with a raspberry drizzle.

President Biden is hosting Mr. Kishida and his wife, Yuko Kishida, as he seeks to build a coalition in the Indo-Pacific to combat China’s military and economic aggression.
