China’s army has a new weapon in its arsenal: four-legged robot dogs with rifles mounted on their back, exhibited during its Golden Dragon training with Cambodia.

The exercise will end Thursday, according to the Khmer Times newspaper.

The robots are equipped with a “4-D wide angle sensing system. This cutting-edge technology allows it to transmit reconnaissance images back to the headquarters in real time,” said participating soldier Yang Shenzhi in a video from the Chinese state news site Chinamil.com.

In the forced entry training scenario, after human participants blasted open a door, the robot dog entered and fired at targets meant to represent terrorists.

The U.S. has used robot dogs in buildings. A Boston Dynamics robot dog was used by Massachusetts State Police in a hostage situation in March, taking bullets that might have otherwise been shot at a trooper or police K-9 dog.
