CHICAGO — Authorities are investigating bomb threats, including antisemitic messages, at several downtown hotels Tuesday during the Democratic National Convention.

Chicago Hotels including Hyatt House and Nobu Hotel received warnings of pipe bombs on the second day of the convention. Fox 32 Chicago reported that police responded with K-9 dogs to at least one of the hotels.

The threats referenced the Democrats’ convention at the United Center and contained antisemitic language, according to several media reports.

The host city has been roiled by thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters marching against the Biden-Harris administration’s support for Israel in its war in Gaza. Demonstrators tried to knock down a security fence near the convention site on Monday, and at least four people were detained by police.
